How it started

We had nowhere
to play.

So in 2022 a few of us in Muscat stopped waiting for somebody to build a stage, and built one that moves instead.

The seats came out of a van. A sound system went in, a solar panel went on the roof, and we started driving to places where music wasn't already happening.

Then came the part nobody planned. In every city, players came over. An oud player in Muscat. A metal band in a shipping yard. Jordanian and Palestinian musicians at Petra. They'd climb up on the van and we'd work a song out together, right there, in front of whoever happened to be standing around.

That is really the whole thing. The music is the point. The van is just how we get to the people making it.

  1. 01 The band

    Us, plus whoever we found in that city that week. Arabic, Hindi, Spanish and English, and the songs nobody planned — which are usually the ones people remember.

  2. 02 The open mic

    Anyone can take it. Some of our favourite nights came from a person who was only walking past and decided, halfway, that they weren't.

  3. 03 The sound

    A rig built for live instruments rather than background music. We bring it, we mix it, and we carry it back out at the end of the night.

  4. 04 The sun

    All of it runs off a solar panel on the roof. No generator droning underneath the music, and nothing we need to borrow from you.

  5. 05 The light

    Warm LED instead of stage glare, low and close. It is the difference between an audience and a group of people sitting together.

  6. 06 The floor

    Carpets and cushions go straight down on whatever is there — sand, grass, concrete. People sit. And once people sit down, they stay.

We played the
Treasury
at Petra.

Boho Van proudly became the first Omani and GCC music platform to perform at one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the ancient city of Petra. From the hidden beauty of Little Petra to the iconic Treasury, our journey was more than a concert; it was history in the making.

Collaborating with Jordanian and Palestinian musicians, we fused cultures and sounds, turning Petra’s timeless sandstone walls into a stage for unity and creativity. This milestone marks not only a triumph for Boho Van, but also a proud moment for Oman and the GCC on the global cultural map.

Four seasons in Salalah, when the monsoon turns the mountains green and half the country drives south. We park in the mist and play until it gets too wet for the speakers.

Mobile stage & event setup

The van opens into a fully equipped, solar-powered stage with light and sound. Live performances, pop-ups and creative showcases, anywhere you can give us a parking space.

Talent management

We know a lot of players. An acoustic duo for a courtyard, a full band for a festival — we put together a line-up that suits the room, and it usually includes someone local.

Entertainment for events

Performances people can join rather than just watch. We shape it around the night you have in mind, and we stay from the first cable to the last note.

Sound system rental

Proper audio for anything from a courtyard to a main stage. Microphones, speakers, mixing — we set it up and we run it, so nobody has to think about it.

Event organizing

Concept to execution. Venue setup, entertainment booking, sound and lighting, promotion. We've built our own festivals, so we know where events quietly fall apart.

Workshops & creative sessions

Interactive sessions that get people making instead of watching. Skill-sharing for the artistic community, and a way to leave something behind after the music stops.

While the band plays at the nose of the van, the tailgate turns into a studio. Guests circle the whole vehicle instead of standing in one spot — a full 360 of things to do.

Our own festival

We don't just
play events.
We build them.

Shade of Sahara is ours. A rock and metal night for the Omani scene, which had nowhere loud enough to go. We booked the bands, built the stage, ran the sound and filled the yard.

Which is why, when someone asks us to build a night for them, we already know what it takes. We've stood on that side of it, at our own risk.

An open invitation

The van is
for you too.

We started this to give emerging artists a stage that goes to where they already are, instead of waiting for one to be built.

So if you sing, play, paint, film, or make anything at all — the door is open. Walk up at an event and take the open mic. Or send us a message and we'll find you a night. There's no audition and no fee. We're just trying to put the creativity of this region somewhere people can see it.

Do you play small events too?

Yes. Events of every size, including small gatherings and private parties. The van scales down as easily as it scales up.

Is Boho Van a band?

Not a traditional one. We have an in-house band, and we collaborate with local musicians wherever we go. They perform together, blending styles — the collaboration is the point.

Do you offer anything besides live performance?

Sound and lighting rental, DJ services, event planning and talent management. You can book the whole thing or just the piece you are missing.

Can you travel internationally for an event?

Yes. We drive to any city and any country — we've done Riyadh, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain and Amman. Just give us notice.

What do you need from the venue?

A parking space and access to it. The sound and lights run on solar, so we don't need your power, and we set up and pack down ourselves.
